Cooperative Education
Cooperative Education (Co-op) helps students make career-related decisions and enables them to test classroom learning in the real world. It also improves their after-graduation job prospects, not only because they've acquired valuable work experience, but because they've worked side-by-side with their future colleagues and have established professional connections.
The WPI Cooperative Education Program provides an opportunity for students to alternate time in the classroom with extended periods of paid, full-time, career-related work experience in industry or private and government agencies. This optional program entails work assignments lasting from six to eight months, beginning in either January or May.
